Reminds me so much of my mom's last years.

I started reading "Water For Elephants" recently and almost stopped before I barely got started. Why? The opening pages were a detailed scene of old people together in a nursing home examining the outside world, having a meal together and boldly fighting without restraint. Thank God I kept reading. Beautiful book but I am sure there are more scenes to flinch from ahead.Annie Jeffrieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15415548089882625246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25322693.post-73493682445540772752007-10-29T07:04:00.000-07:002007-10-29T07:04:00.000-07:00So sadly touching and real, the guilt and the help...So sadly touching and real, the guilt and the helplessness on your part comes through so clearly, wonderful piece.
